Tammy Buck joined the Brenau University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program as an adjunct professor in June 2017 before coming to full time faculty in August 2017. She graduated in 1992 with her bachelors of science in physical therapy from Northeastern University and has 25 years of clinical experience in pediatric practice.
She earned her doctorate from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2015 with an emphasis in Pediatric Sciences; she earned APTA board certification in pediatrics in 2016. She has worked in a variety of settings: outpatient clinics, community based programs, Early Intervention programs, home health programs, aquatics, school system based services, and hospital outpatient clinics. She has provided mentorship to new graduate therapists and has been a clinic instructor for many students during the years. Tammy developed and organizes a community program to promote health and wellness for individuals with disabilities and their families to prepare for a 5K race. This program incorporates her interests and passion to promote a lifetime of fitness for all people.
